Revolutionizing Competitive Gaming: LG Unveils UltraGear 25G590B with Native 1000 Hz Refresh Rate
LG has set a new standard in the world of gaming monitors with the groundbreaking UltraGear 25G590B. This flagship IPS monitor boasts a native 1000 Hz refresh rate, a feat that has never been achieved before at Full HD resolution. While other monitors have claimed to reach 1000 Hz, the UltraGear 25G590B is the first to do so natively, offering unparalleled smoothness and fluidity for competitive gaming.
The Evolution of High Refresh Rates
Previous displays that claimed 1000 Hz refresh rates were often limited to 720p resolution, leading to visual degradation, especially on larger screens. In contrast, the UltraGear 25G590B maintains the popular 1080p resolution without sacrificing performance, making it a game-changer in the industry.
“This is a defining moment for gaming monitors. By delivering the world’s first native 1000Hz FHD gaming monitor, LG has established a new performance benchmark for competitive gaming.”
– Lee Choong-hwoan, Head of Display Business at LG
Challenges and Advancements in Gaming
While the UltraGear 25G590B represents a significant leap forward in monitor technology, pushing games to 1000 FPS remains a challenge, especially at 1080p resolution. Even with top-tier hardware like the Ryzen 7 9850X3D+RTX 5090, achieving 1000 FPS is a demanding task. Some games, like CS 2, can reach 800-900 FPS with specialized configurations.
Other monitor manufacturers have introduced 1000 Hz displays, but the UltraGear 25G590B stands out with its FHD resolution on a 24.5-inch IPS screen. Equipped with Motion Blur Reduction Pro technology and advanced AI features like AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound, this monitor offers unparalleled clarity and immersive audio.
Looking Ahead
The UltraGear 25G590B is set to launch in the second half of 2026, ushering in a new era of competitive gaming. While pricing details have not been disclosed yet, the monitor’s innovative features and performance capabilities are sure to make it a highly sought-after product in the gaming community.
As LG continues to push the boundaries of gaming technology, the UltraGear 25G590B represents a milestone in monitor evolution, setting a new standard for competitive gameplay and immersive experiences.
