Unveiling the Lisuan 7G100 Extreme Founders Edition: A Disappointing Reality Check for Chinese Gamers
Excitement buzzed in the air as Lisuan Tech introduced its latest gaming graphics card, the 7G100 Extreme Founders Edition, tailored specifically for Chinese gamers, with a price tag of approximately $500.
Lisuan Extreme 7G100 Graphics Card Specs
The Lisuan Extreme boasts a 6nm 7G106 GPU, marking the company’s first venture into a dedicated gaming graphics card. Equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus interface and PCIe 4.0 x16 compatibility, this card delivers 192 TMUs, 96 ROPs, and a maximum TDP of 225W through a single 12-pin connector.
Design-wise, the dual-slot card features three fans, with two concealed beneath the top grill. Sporting four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, it supports up to 8K60Hz HDR Freesync functionality and boasts modern APIs like DX12, Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 3.0. Notably, the Lisuan GPU is among the first domestic products to receive WHQL certification from Microsoft.
Lisuan 7G100 Graphics Card Game Support & Performance
The Lisuan Extreme 7G100 promised out-of-the-box support for popular AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate III, and more. Early demonstrations hinted at performance comparable to an RTX 4060, although these assessments relied solely on synthetic benchmarks such as Geekbench OpenCL and 3DMark.
The Real Story
Reality struck hard when benchmark results for the Lisuan 7G100 Extreme surfaced, revealing lackluster performance. In 3DMark tests, the card lagged behind or matched the aging RTX 3060, failing to meet expectations set by competing GPUs like the RX 6600 XT.
Gameplay further exposed the card’s shortcomings, with Cyberpunk 2077 running at a mere 88 FPS on average at 1080p, a far cry from the performance delivered by older GPUs like the RX 6600 XT. Notably, the Lisuan 7G100 struggled to keep up with GPUs that are several years old, showcasing poor frame rates and stuttering issues without support for Ray Tracing.
While the graphics card boasted stable game compatibility without major driver issues, its lackluster performance failed to impress, falling short of expectations across the board.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Lisuan 7G100 Extreme Founders Edition may have raised hopes for a new contender in the gaming graphics card market, but its underwhelming performance and lack of competitive edge leave much to be desired. Chinese gamers seeking top-tier performance may find themselves looking elsewhere for a more satisfying gaming experience.
The Lisuan LX7G100 Gaming Graphics Card: A Deep Dive into Performance and Pricing
As the gaming industry continues to evolve, the demand for high-performance graphics cards has never been greater. With players looking to push the boundaries of visual fidelity and frame rates, competition among GPU manufacturers is at an all-time high. One of the latest contenders in this space is the Lisuan LX7G100, a Chinese gaming graphics card that aims to challenge the dominance of NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD in the market.
GPU Performance Comparison Across Games (@1080p)
| Game | Settings Used | Lisuan LX7G100 (Low/Avg FPS) | RTX 4060 (Low/Avg FPS) | Arc B580 (Low/Avg FPS) | RX 6600XT (Low/Avg FPS) | Lisuan vs RTX 4060 (Avg %) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cyberpunk 2077 | 1080p Medium + FSR3 Quality + Frame Gen | 70 / 88 | 164 / 232 | 183 / 243 | 185 / 220 | 38% |
Pricing Makes It Worse
When it comes to pricing, the Lisuan LX7G100 faces stiff competition from established players like NVIDIA and AMD. With a Founders Edition listed at 3299 RMB, the price point puts it in the same range as the RTX 5060 Ti. While the card offers 12 GB of memory, other models like the 5060 Ti deliver faster performance, RT/PT support, AI compute capabilities, and solid driver support. Even the Arc B580, priced lower, offers similar VRAM capacity, making it a more attractive option for budget-conscious gamers.
Moreover, the impending return of NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 12 GB card could further disrupt the market, posing a significant challenge to Lisuan’s market share. As prices continue to fluctuate due to supply chain constraints, consumers are faced with tough decisions when choosing a gaming graphics card that offers both performance and value.
Conclusion: The Future of Lisuan in the Gaming Industry
Despite the initial hurdles and pricing challenges, Lisuan has made significant strides in improving the quality and performance of Chinese gaming GPUs. With a growing emphasis on domestic products and regulatory restrictions on foreign brands, Lisuan is well-positioned to capture a significant share of the local market. As the gaming landscape continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how Lisuan adapts to changing consumer demands and technological advancements in the industry.
