Galax: An End of an Era – Galax Exits the Industry, Palit Takes the Reins
As the gaming industry evolves, we often see iconic brands come and go. The latest news to shock the gaming community is the departure of GALAX, or GALAXY Microsystems as it was previously known. In a surprising turn of events, GALAX has announced the cessation of its global operations, with Palit set to take over the reins of this renowned graphics card maker.
Palit Takes Over Control
According to reports, Palit, another esteemed NVIDIA partner, will now be responsible for managing all aspects of the GALAX brand. This transition means that customers who have purchased GALAX graphics cards can still access warranty and support services through Palit’s official channels.
Announcement to GALAX Customers:
We hereby inform you that Palit has assumed full control and operations of the GALAX brand.
With this transition, Palit becomes solely responsible for all activities and commitments related to the brand.
We emphasize that both are NVIDIA-authorized partners, ensuring the legitimacy and continuity of our services. Following the closure of the previous organizational structure and the dismissal of its team, all management and operations will now be handled exclusively through Palit’s official channels.

Reason for Exit
The decision to exit the market stems from supply constraints triggered by the overwhelming demand for AI technology. Palit’s letter to customers cited this as the primary reason for GALAX’s departure from the industry.
A Look Back at GALAX
Founded in 1994 in Hong Kong, GALAX quickly rose to become a prominent name in the computer hardware industry. With a global presence, GALAX and its sister-brand KFA2 catered to markets worldwide, showcasing innovation and quality in their products.
Enthusiasts in regions like Brazil dedicated their time and expertise to modding and showcasing GALAX products, highlighting the brand’s impact in the gaming community.
A Farewell to GALAX
While it’s a somber moment for those who have followed GALAX’s journey, we extend our gratitude to GALAX for its contributions to the gaming industry over the past two decades. We wish the teams at GALAX the best in their future endeavors as we bid farewell to an era marked by innovation and excellence.
